Head of Design at Mailbird, a US-based email and productivity app with 4.7M+ users. Led product design across Windows and Mac, from product strategy and UX through to growth, AI and launch.
After 12 years on the market and with 4.7M+ users, Mailbird had built a strong foundation — but the product needed renewed momentum.
The team was small, the Windows experience needed a complete rethink, and a new Mac client was being developed at the same time. We needed to modernize the flagship product, bring the two platforms together, make Mac market-ready, and create the marketing momentum around them.
The challenge was bigger than a redesign: how do you make a mature product feel new again — while continuing to grow the business and attract new customers?
I treated product, growth and brand as one connected system — using the product experience itself as the foundation for the next stage of growth.
I redesigned the Windows flagship, designed the Mac client from the ground up, evolved the website and brand expression, and created the campaigns, social, advertising and lifecycle experiences needed to support the next stage of growth.
Led the Windows redesign end to end, from product strategy and UX through final UI and implementation, working directly with the CEO and engineering.
Designed Mailbird's native Mac client from the ground up, from product strategy and UX architecture through interface design and launch, establishing parity across Windows and Mac.
Connected product, web and marketing around the launch — evolving the website and brand expression while creating campaigns, advertising and lifecycle experiences designed to drive acquisition and conversion.
Wingman was an AI assistant built into the inbox, designed to help users manage email through natural language and carry out private actions on their behalf. The goal wasn't to add a chatbot for the sake of it, but to explore how an assistant could reduce friction in everyday inbox tasks while keeping the user in control.
The Windows flagship redesign contributed $800K in revenue over the following four months. I also brought Mailbird's native Mac client to market and directed the creative strategy behind its highest-revenue campaign in the company's 12-year history.
